Job Description

As a Data scientist with our team, you will be working to innovate data into information that our customers can use to support the modeling and simulations solutions that help guide National Defense policy and decision making.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Design, create, evaluate, and maintain solutions using your experience and expertise in data science and machine learning
  • Work with various teams to identify, manage, research, develop, and present data analytics projects
  • Learn and understand existing and planned data architectures and models, and help to develop creative approaches to modernization and design for analysis
  • Contribute to exploring emerging technology trends in data management and data science, and developing engineering proofs-of-concept to understand potential applicability of these technologies
  • Work closely with federal clients providing services to develop AI/ML models and weights to selected data to facilitate object detection, data triage, search/optimization, inference, facial recognition, behavior detection, and automated discovery and decision making
  • Maintain model versioning system and experience identifying new vulnerabilities in models

Required Education, Experience, & Skills

  • Bachelor's Degree in a STEM field such as Computer Science, Statistics, Data Analytics, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, and Physics
  • +5 years of professional work experience in one of the following : Business Analysis, Special Operations Command, Intelligence, and or Information Management/Knowledge Management
  • MUST possess active Secret clearance with TS/SCI Eligibility

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

  • Proficiency with major data science tools and languages such as PostgreSQL/SQL, Python, R, NiFi, and Git
  • Demonstrated experience with managing, optimizing performance with, and analyzing large volumes of data
  • Familiarity with industry best practices for software/hardware optimization when processing large data sets

NOTE: This is a remote position that can be accomplished from anywhere in the continental U.S. There is an expectation of 20% travel to support team and customer engagements as well as integration events on either BAE or customer premises.
