Job Description
The hardware team at ISEE is seeking a full-time electrical engineer with a strong foundation in the fundamentals of electrical engineering. This job includes research as well as development of replacement or new subsystems in the electro-mechanical architecture for both prototype designs as well as production intent designs for autonomous vehicles.
Role responsibilities include:
- -Embedded development, programming and working with embedded developers
- -Defining and designing communications systems such as CAN(J1939, CANOpen) SPI, I2C, USB, and RS-232.
- -Working with others to develop and design the overall electrical architecture
- -Working with others to integrate electronics into vehicles
- -Design of safety critical system elements
- -Verification and Validation of electrical systems
- -Work with suppliers and drive the implementation of development into production
- -PCB layout, schematic design
Qualifications
- -Bachelor/Master Degree in Electrical Engineering
- -Passionate about self-driving vehicles
- -Excellent communication skills
- -Experience with electrical drawings and parts management
- -Experience with prototyping of boards
Preferred
- -5+ years of work experience
- -Experience with actuators and sensors of varying types
- -Experience with safety critical design work
- -Robotics/autonomous experience is a plus
- -Experience with Verification and Validation processes
