Job Description

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
  • 7 years of experience working in the healthcare industry in a data engineering role.
  • Experience with Big Data (e.g. Hadoop/Spark), machine learning (e.g TensorFlow), and programming frameworks (e.g., Python, Java).
  • Experience with HIPAA, GDPR, and other legal regulations around healthcare data.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Computer Science or other technical field.
  • 7 years of experience working in the healthcare industry in a customer facing cloud computing role.
  • Experience in, and understanding of, data and information management as it relates to big data trends and issues within businesses.
  • Experience building machine learning solutions and leveraging specific machine learning architectures (e.g., deep learning, LSTM, convolutional networks, etc.).
  • Experience architecting and developing software or infrastructure for scalable, distributed systems.

As a Customer Engineer, you will join forces with the extended sales team to effectively communicate the unique advantages of Google Cloud to our customers. You will use your expertise in data, machine learning, and AI to educate and support customers in the design of solutions, ensuring that customers are able to fully harness the power of Google Cloud. You will assist with the resolution of any potential roadblocks and take advantage of Google's AI Platform and state-of-the-art Tensor Processing Unit (TPU) technology for specialized machine learning. The US base salary range for this full-time position is $118,000-$183,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.   • Work with the team to identify and qualify business opportunities, understand key customer technical objections and develop the strategy to resolve technical blockers.
  • Provide in-depth machine learning expertise to support the technical relationship with Google’s customers, including product and solution briefings, proof-of-concept work, and partner directly with product management to prioritize solutions impacting customer adoption to Google Cloud.
  • Work directly with customers to demonstrate and prototype Google Cloud product integrations in customer/partner environments.
  • Recommend integration strategies, enterprise architectures, platforms and application infrastructure required to successfully implement a complete solution using best practices on Google Cloud.
  • Travel to customer sites, conferences, and other related events as required.
