Job Description

We are looking for a highly skilled and energetic person to play a role in improving and supporting our revolutionary robotic and vision-based systems for agriculture. You will be joining a world-class research and engineering team to provide critical skills in improving existing systems and pushing the boundaries of this technology.

The role will include work in the following areas:

• Performing parametric studies of existing Deep Learning models to improve performance of current Deep Learning systems used at Blue River
• Benchmarking current models and participating in development of new deep learning models to improve performance
• Working closely with the product marketing team to define and implement performance metrics for evaluating plant classification models
• Working closely with the data collection team to collect and QC data collected from the field
• Exploring alternative Deep Learning models and/or frameworks that can be used in the next generation of plant recognition

Required Experience & Skills:

• Enrollment in or completion of degree program in Computer Science or related field
• Experience working with machine learning systems, with particular emphasis on deep learning systems
• Attention to detail and ability to work independently
• A positive attitude and willingness to take on a variety of tasks as necessary

Preferred Experience & Skills:

• Enrollment in or completion of an advanced degree, e.g., M.S., Ph.D.
• Advanced proficiency in C++, Python, or related tools and system SW architecture
• Experience in improving deep learning systems and moving to real-time processing

The US base salary range for this position is $51.00 - $65.00 per hour

Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your location during the hiring process.
