Job Description

The Machine Learning organization within Intel Architecture Graphics & Software group has an opportunity for an ethical AI intern to work on building ethical AI capabilities and design dataset attributes labeling, model testing and validation practices that minimize potential for biases.

Responsibilities:

• Work with datasets and models to develop state-of-the-art methods for incorporating fairness in real-world machine learning applications.
• Work in the end-to-end AI pipeline from data processing, cleaning, labeling, training, optimizing, inferring and retraining.
• Investigate latest academic research in the area of responsible, ethical and fairness AI and document the learnings
• Identify new approaches on industry and academic insights and research
• Develop tools to assess fairness pre, post or during the processing of data as part of the AI pipeline

An ideal candidate would have behavioral skills that indicate:

• Analytical approach coupled with solid communication skills and a sense of ownership

Qualifications

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position Experience listed below would be obtained through a combination of your school work classes research and or relevant previous job and or internship experiences

Must be pursuing a Masters or PhD in Statistics, Computer Science or Data Science or Human Factors Engineering or software engineering or Mathematics.

6 months of experience with the following technical skills

• Projects, publications in Fairness and AI Ethics
• Expertise in probability distributions, hypothesis testing, and regularization
• Ability to diagnose technical problems, debug code, and automate routine tasks

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with machine learning, data mining, and information retrieval or natural language processing is helpful
