Being a MLOps Engineer at Moov AI

Moov AI delivers AI solutions to clients with the goal of helping them integrate AI systems into their products and internal process. Additionally, when the client desires, we help them level up their internal autonomy so that eventually they can maintain and deploy new AI systems by themselves

As our client are often starting from a classical IT stack, we often help them design and integrate from scratch the necessary data and ML systems into their environment ( usually one of the big cloud providers ) to allow the deployment and long-term support of our solutions.

Your typical day at Moov AI

You build data pipelines and Ml enablements systems while working with your colleagues to deploy AI systems in production in the client’s infrastructure. You work with a data scientist and an Agile project manager; together, you form a trio of experts that delivers a project to a business. Over the course of the mandate, the team will evaluate the client’s business context and data to determine and define the anticipated impact; you’ll then design a solution that depends on an AI model and you will be responsible for the surrounding data and ML infrastructure. Overall, you spend most of your time coding while also advising and guiding your client.

Job requirements

What you bring the team

Client side:

• You design ML deployment and support systems, including architecture and tool selection. The specific tools can depend on the client’s environment and constraints ( it would be nice for our own sanity if we could standardize to a cloud agnostic stack but that is an ongoing discussion )
• You help the client deploy and adopt the MLOps system. Our delivery teams are multi-disciplinary scrum teams so the MLOps Engineer is not expect to build the whole system themselves but they are expected to own the overall architecture and make sure the work to be done is well defined and advancing well
• You work with data science teams ( both the Moov AI one and potentially the clients ) to make sure the solution is using the MLOps system in an efficient and appropriate way

Internally at Moov:

• You participate in maintaining our MLOps best practices and tool selection. ( Going from general observability to efficient experiment tracking, in-production monitoring and so on )
• You educate and train delivery teams in MLOps best practices
• You work closely with data engineers and data scientists to optimize our delivery process and in general make sure Moov AIis an awesome place for ML in-production AI systems
