Job Description

Manager, Demand Data Scientist is a business facing role responsible for continuous improvement of Statistical Regional forecast accuracy and day-to-day interactions with 2-3 regions and Global Supply Chain COE teams.

As Stat COE Point-of-contact, this individual will lead monthly regional calls to coordinate timely gathering of key regional insights to help optimize ELC forecast models. This individual will also work with the global data modeling team to embed these insights into future forecast models.

He/she will contribute to Sell-in and Sell-thru models to drive better accuracy by analyzing large data sets to develop data-driven recommendations to improve stat KPIs (WFA and Attainment).

This role will also influence and foster relationships with the IT data community to Identify and implement key enhancements in our global supply chain data repository. The manager is also responsible for researching new trends in the industry and utilizing up-to-date technology and analytical skills to support assigned projects.

Key Roles & Responsibilities

  • Manage existing/new data analytics projects within IT/supply chain including managing the contractors
  • Coordinate efforts to improve global KPIs (Stat and Enriched) and help regions drive better value
  • Strong organizational skills, with ability to successfully prioritize and manage multiple accountabilities simultaneously 
  • Ability to work independently or across multiple functional teams, collaborating with COE, Regional Planning, Supply Chain, and IT teams
  • Strong attention to detail – ability to accurately manage, update, maintain large datasets
  • Strong written and oral communication skills – able to clearly communicate complex analyses to senior level stakeholders
  • Leverages existing and build new analytical tools to drive value
  • Ability to simplify & standardize complex concepts / processes

Qualifications

  • Strong analytical background
  • Undergrad in mathematics, computer science, or engineering/supply chain required, graduate degrees preferred
  • Experience with SAP, Excel and Power BI
  • Experience with Python, R and other similar modeling languages
  • Previous professional experience in forecasting, supply chain or similar roles
  • Strong background in data acquisition (primarily from SAP/Data Lake), data analysis, and visualization to assist in better data-driven decision-making
  • Co-owns and leads data science / analytics projects supporting the on-going operation of ELC stat models
  • Ensures that quality of model outputs continues to improve
  • Analyzes and interprets supply chain datasets to determine customer and market trends

  • Extended experience in architecting complex planning solutions including AI and statistical forecasting models
  • Demonstrates deep understanding of planning processes
  • In depth knowledge of Databricks, Power BI, SAP, o9, AI tools

The anticipated base salary range for this position is $96,500 to $162,500. Exact salary depends on several factors such as experience, skills, education, and budget. Salary range may vary based on geographic location. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for participation in a highly competitive bonus program with possibility for overachievement based on performance and company results.
