The Vyatta team has an Intern opportunity, for a STEM graduate to work directly with the software engineering team on various aspects of our routing product. We're looking for candidates who have (some or all of) the following :-

Knowledge

• object-oriented python and/or pytest experience desirable (or similiar scripting, and/or C[++] experience)
• knowledge and demonstrated usage of Linux OS (ideally debian) desirable
• any knowledge of Atlassian toolset, jenkins, git, Robot framework a would be good
• can demonstrate an understanding of computer hardware architecture and operating system architecture
• network protocols and services

• can describe visible symptoms of a problem, and propose alternative ways to approach the diagnosis of the underlying issue

Experience

• BE / B.Tech. (EE/CS) Degree
• software development
• network hardware setup and triage
• experience of cloud networks or network virtualization
• Open Source project contribution
• You must be currently based in the UK and hold a valid permanent work permit for the country
