Talus Bioscience is seeking highly motivated summer interns to join our team! Internships are PAID and available in the areas of research & development, drug discovery, proteomics, and data science. These internships provide opportunities to own and participate in challenging and impactful business-critical projects at a thriving biotech start-up!

Internships are approximately 3-months (summer) in duration and the roles are performed on-site at our Seattle, WA laboratory under the supervision of PhD scientists. Relocation assistance benefits are not available for this job posting. Interns will participate in all lab meetings, team meetings, and the company summer retreat, as well as Talus social and team-building events. All positions require excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and successful candidates will complement our culture and align with our core values. At the end of the internship, interns will present their project to the entire company.

Group: Drug Discovery

Title: Research Intern

Internship Description: The Drug Disco team is seeking a summer intern to participate in research and drug discovery in the area of Pediatric Oncology. The successful candidate will learn and apply cellular/molecular biology and high-sensitivity quantitative proteomics to elucidate disease pathways and identify nodes for therapeutic intervention. The intern in this role will be expected to make intellectual as well as technical contributions to the team.

Target Applicant: Undergraduate or graduate student with 2+ years of experience; preferred majors: cell biology, cancer biology, or biochemistry

Status: Full-time role (40 hours/week) preferred, but willing to accept 20-39 hours/week for an exceptional candidate; hourly (non-exempt) position

Required Skills: Biology-related research experience, basic knowledge of molecular and cancer biology or cancer pharmacology-related fields

Assignments: Work with the team to learn and conduct in vitro studies using techniques of cell culture, in vitro & cell-based assays, as well as preparing samples for evaluation with our proteomics platform.

Pay Range: $24.00 – $26.00/hour
