What you will do at Pandata:

• Set vision and define processes for service delivery on our most complex projects
• Provide technical direction and assist our Practice Lead with technical project management
• Work with clients and team to ensure successful solution delivery
•  Scope new projects and partner with our Practice Lead on sales engineering 
• Architect machine learning and AI solutions and inspire our team to consider state of the art tools and techniques
• Help refine hypotheses and experimental designs implemented by our data science consultants in
• Synthesize consultant reports into high level executive-ready presentations to communicate findings and recommendations
• Architect and oversee the development of dashboards and data-driven tools in business intelligence tools like PowerBI and Tableau
• Continue to grow your knowledge of data science tools, platforms, and processes
• Contribute to Pandata’s internal innovation through rapid prototyping and building demos
• Build strong relationships with key stakeholders, decision makers, and influencers - cultivating these relationships along the way
• Proactively look for opportunities to add value to clients beyond problem solving by exploring opportunities to improve their day-to-day operations, turning short-term SOWs into long-term, collaborative relationships.
• Up to 10% travel may be required

Requirements:

• PhD or Master’s degree in quantitative field (mathematics, statistics, engineering, etc.) and 3+ years of professional experience in leading data science teams and (or related field) initiatives OR equivalent certification and 5+ years leading data science teams
• 2+ years in a client-facing role including regular interactions with senior leaders, directors, or above
• Experience developing and validating machine learning models using R or Python (Python preferred, please share portfolio if available)
• Experience leveraging cloud computing environments and complex data flows in context of data science or analytics projects
• Experience mentoring, coaching, or managing other data scientists
• Excellent communication, writing, and presentation skills
• Track record building and nurturing relationships, including regular facilitation of client meetings
• Ability to explain sophisticated data science concepts in an approachable manner
• Strong understanding of statistical, mathematical and machine learning concepts
• Capable of conveying information that affects change and demonstrates results – including actionable reporting
• Track record of bridging the gap between business problems and analytics
