Job Description

Data Scientist would help to extract, analyze and interpret large amounts of data from a range of sources, using algorithmic, data mining, artificial intelligence, machine learning and statistical tools. Once the data is interpreted, the data scientist would need to present the results using clear and engaging language.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Responsible for communicating analytics model behavior/results to business
• Responsible for carrying out technical risk analysis and reliability assessments
• Responsible for performing complex analyses, including optimization, text analytics, machine learning, social-science modeling, and statistical analysis, parametric and non-parametric statistical models and techniques
• Responsible for the design of algorithms that require different models/methods to be used together
• Apply strong understanding of data science techniques and libraries to business problems
• Direct data science teams to complete all project deliverables.
• Provide direction and mentorship for the GBS Data Science focus group and foster a culture of data & analytics in the GBS functional team

Qualifications and Experience:

• 5+ years of experience as Data Scientist.
• Comprehensive knowledge of modern data science and product/web analytics tools and techniques, including Python and associated data science ecosystem, Machine Learning, Google Cloud Data platform: Big Query, Dataflow, etc.
• Broad knowledge and understanding of advanced statistical, machine learning, and/or data mining techniques.
• Proven experience managing in an Agile environment; using analytically oriented languages such as Python or R.
• Experience using Dataiku Data Science Studio for building and deploying Machine Learning Algorithms.
• Some experience in leading an interdisciplinary team of developers preferably data scientists.
