The Golden State Warriors are looking for a Data Scientist to join the growing Business Strategy and Analytics team. In this role, you will help the organization achieve our mission of becoming a global leader in experiences and entertainment, by working collaboratively with organizational leaders and a team of data analysts. This position reports to the Director, Business Strategy and Analytics.

This is a full-time position based onsite in San Francisco, CA.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, deploy and monitor predictive models
• Build features for predictive models
• Partner with data analysts to integrate the results into decision making
• Analyze large data sets to discover trends and patterns
• Maintain a pulse on the current state of data science and analytics

Required Experience & Skills

• Bachelor's degree, preferably in Computer Science or related technical field, or equivalent work experience
• Minimum 4 years working on data team
• Expertise with scripting languages such as Python or R
• Advanced knowledge of and experience applying data science to solve business problems, such as predictive modeling, machine learning,
• Experience with SQL and relational databases
• Experience working in cloud environments (e.g. GCP)
• Experience writing scalable ETL/ELT
• Experience operating predictive models in production
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Ability to build positive working relationships with business partners and peers at all levels within the organization
• Excellent written and verbal communication; strong presentation skills with the ability to influence technical and non-technical partners
• Ability to balance multiple projects at once in a fast-paced work environment
• Passion and curiosity for the sports and entertainment industry
