About this role:

As a Data Scientist/Engineering Intern, you will develop analyses or infrastructure to support and inform research and product development. Work is carried out in a highly collaborative environment across multiple interdisciplinary teams (Analytical Chemistry, Microbiology, Data Science, Engineering, Food Science, and Product Development). Your contributions will enable us to accelerate our discovery for tastier plant-based products while informing our business decisions.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled as a student in a Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate program
• Available to be on-site at Berkeley, CA, USA for a paid internship term (6-8 weeks). Fall, Summer, Winter, and Spring are available. You'll designate your availability in the form.
• Majoring in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, Chemistry, Biology, Physics, or similar
• Fluency in the Python scientific data science stack (NumPy, SciPy, scikit-learn, pandas) OR fluency with data engineering technologies (SQL, Apache Airflow, Docker, Kubernetes)
• Excellent problem solving skills and ability to think out of the box.
• Strong passion for alternative protein and replacing animal agriculture
• Bonus: Scientific expertise in microbiology, analytical chemistry, texture, protein, or food science
