CLARA's Data Team is looking for a highly professional Data Scientist intern to join us and take an active role in the company’s data-decision making process by doing advanced analytics and/or implementing machine learning algorithms in an impactful fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities: Your main focus will be to help implement advanced analytics and machine learning models to optimize processes, and improve the company’s decision-making process, translate business requirements to technical knowledge and present highly technical content to a non-technical audience in the simplest way possible. You will also collaborate with other teams in order to provide high quality and fast-delivery data for the company.

The main challenges and responsibilities you will face are:- Build and integrate a ML model to monitor credit risk and fraud- Conduct analysis to help optimize company’s collections and prevent fraud- High level of business understanding to tackle any problem with the best possible approach.- Create simple but very informative visualizations to explain your work for a broad audience.- Identify data requirements and needs along with the data engineering team.- Be able to collaborate with teams remotely, not only locally.

Our requirements of this position are:

• Proficiency in Python and SQL
• Experience using Git
• Experience in consuming data from a data warehouse (e.g. Redshift, Big Query, Snowflake or similar)
• Practical experience with scikit-learn, pandas, numpy, scipy, matplotlib.
• Practical experience implementing unsupervised and supervised learning algorithms.
• Data visualization
• Model interpretability
