Job Description

Our Ways of Working

We’re a remote-first company with team members located across the United States spanning multiple time zones. We know how valuable the flexibility of remote work is for our employees so people can get the work done in the way that suits them best. With rare exception, our employees generally work 9-5 in their home time zone.

We also know that personal connection is the foundation for the great work we do together. In order to build community and collaboration, we gather in person two times a year at a full company offsite and a departmental offsite. These offsites are expected of employees and are great opportunities to meet the people you work with every day and to do some of the work that is much more difficult to do virtually. As this role sits on the leadership team, there is also the expectation that you would attend 1-2 leadership team retreats each year.

What the role is

The Vice President of Analytics will lead the strategy and adoption for Babylist to leverage a vast amount of first-party data to drive critical operational and strategic decisions across all aspects of our business. This leadership role will manage analytics, research, testing and optimization efforts, bringing forward actionable insights to enable data-driven decision-making. As a senior leader, you will manage a talented team of data analysts and data scientists to leverage a substantial amount of data including all of the gifts that were given off Babylist in the past year, advertising spend, inventory purchasing, and feature usage to help us make smarter decisions. The Vice President of Analytics will also work closely with our executive team to identify opportunities that accelerate business transformation. Ultimately, we are looking for someone to raise the bar for strategic decision making at Babylist which is currently used and loved by millions of parents and gift givers and within the top 1,500 most visited websites in the US; mobile apps having over 50k 5-star ratings!
