Via Separations is a rapidly growing Boston-area startup dedicated to eliminating CO2 emissions from industrial manufacturing processes. Role Description

• You will have the opportunity to join a hard-working and quickly growing team, and have an immediate impact within a young company.
• You are an organized, proactive, and motivated person who will work closely with the development and product team to drive our data and analytics capabilities.
• You will gain experience in SQL database design and management, data analytics, and data science.
• You will regularly interact with team leadership and conclude with a cohesive report-out.
• Your position will interact regularly with the engineering team to incorporate our growing data streams into a larger database and maximize the insights we pull out of our data.
• You will use both small and large datasets to understand, characterize, and maximize system performance.
• In addition, you will be tasked with developing machine learning algorithms to understand which parameters most impact our membrane’s performance and lifetime.

The ideal candidate will have most, if not all, of these qualifications:

• Coursework in computer science and data science
• Ability to work full-time for the January-June 2023 Co-Op cycle
• Comfort with SQL, MySQL, Python, and ideally some knowledge of AWS databases
• Strong ability to manage time and quickly shifting priorities
• A desire to be independent and lead projects
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and with long-term projects
• A strong technical ability to learn about new processes
• A clear interest in sustainability
