Job Description

Project Ronin is developing disruptive and cutting edge healthcare insight & clinical decision support technology to address the needs of providers and patients everywhere. Ronin’s Informatics team needs an ambitious and driven Senior to Staff Informatics professionals to develop healthcare data models for application and data science use cases alike. You will be directly responsible for translating end user needs into approaches and strategies which result in consumable and understandable data. By doing so, you will directly enable healthcare providers and patients to make complex, informed decisions surrounding cancer care.

Clinical Informatics at Project Ronin has a core responsibility to make data usable and consumable.

To achieve this, you will be tasked with partnering across the organization to contextualize healthcare data and align it to standards, model features, application requirements and other end use cases. You will work hand in hand with data engineers, application developers, product and design professionals, data scientists and analysts alike.

4+ years of experience:

  • Handling moderately complex data and content such as multiple representations, relationships and metadata.
  • Designing and documenting information systems for multiple stakeholders and use casesDeveloping and integrating quality assurance and data governance protocols and processes into systems and workflows.
  • Translating both standardized and non-standardized content or data into a logical, publishable, domain aligned relational structure such SNOMED Modeling, FHIR Modeling or Ontology Modeling.
  • Detecting and isolating healthcare systems or business processes from raw EMR or HL7 data, databases, data warehouse or other stores.
  • Implementing interoperability mechanisms such as: FHIR profiles. Concept Maps Value Sets.
  • Healthcare operations or direct care exposure.
  • Graduate Degree or Certification with training in:Systems Theory, Systems/Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), Process Mapping, Healthcare Interoperability, Federally Endorsed Standards, Clinical Terminology and Biomedical Ontology, Data Analytics, Cimino’s Desiderata or Controlled Medical Vocabularies

Graduate Degree or Certification with training in:

  • Systems Theory, Systems/Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), Process Mapping, Healthcare Interoperability, Federally Endorsed Standards, Clinical Terminology and Biomedical Ontology, Data Analytics, Cimino’s Desiderata or Controlled Medical Vocabularies

Have these skills as well? Even better.

  • Licensed experience as a nurse, licensed independent provider, or allied health technicians delivering patient care.
  • Federal VA VINCI or CDW, US Army CALL (Center for Army Lessons Learned) or similar translational healthcare data modeling experience.
  • Experience with the OBO or OBO Foundry (Open Biomedical Ontology).
  • Translation of population health or research Inclusion-Exclusion criteria into practice such as API endpoints, Database Queries, Linked Dashboards, etc.
  • Construction of datasets and models from standard DataWarehouse or FHIR Servers to support clinical decision support, business or application logic.
  • Construction of datasets and models from standard DataWarehouse or FHIR Servers to support or apply healthcare quality initiatives such as AHRQ potentially avoidable procedures and admissions, CMS reimbursement programs, etc.
  • Experience using Low Code/No Code solutions.
  • Experience building clinical terminology and standards ETL.
  • Experience with knowledge graphs from existing RDMS or information systems
