Job Description

The strength of our solutions and brand combined with your expertise empower us to literally change peoples' lives!

Who We Are:

This is an exciting time at CareerBuilder as we continue the rapid growth of our global HR Software as a Service operation. Fueled by technology that is years ahead of the competition, we're doing something the industry has never seen before: unifying the recruiter experience in one pre-hire platform that is always on, is data-driven and is easy to use. You'll see us expand into more markets with innovative products and services that are changing the way companies recruit new talent around the world. As a Data Scientist at CareerBuilder, you'll have the opportunity to do something extraordinary. Our employees are what drive our success and are at the very core of our identity.

About the team:

The Data Science R&D team is composed of Data Scientists with expertise in areas such as Deep Learning, Machine Learning, Applied Statistics, and High-Performance Computing (among others). The team partners with line-of-business leaders across the technology department to deliver the best possible customer experience. The team also works on cross-disciplinary efforts with other Data Scientists within CareerBuilder. As a result, the R&D Data Scientists are exposed to a wide cross-section of business functions.

As the progenitor of the R&D culture at CareerBuilder, the Data Science R&D team operates as an industrial R&D lab. This usually involves fast, iterative research spikes and deep dives into research topics that are then developed into production quality systems using open-source and in-house technologies. The team also actively publishes and presents at various academic and industry conferences. Some examples of projects that we are working on: semantic search, developing a large-scale jobs recommendation system, building knowledge bases and leveraging semantic web technologies for large-scale company name normalization, creating one of the worlds' largest job skill and job title taxonomies, intelligent job skills extraction and tagging, job spam detection, job seeker profile de-duplication, applied machine learning for large-scale job title and job category classification and combining all these building blocks into a Human Capital Graph (HCG) to close the skills gap between job seekers and employers.
