Our Core Analytics Data Science team is actively shaping the future of TV as it goes digital, using data to improve our platform. Our advertising software empowers marketing professionals to connect with real people across all channels, including TV, capturing consumers’ attention when and where it matters most. We also develop algorithms to enable our content publishing partners to find and engage consumers. 

What you’ll be doing: 

As an Analytics, Data Science Intern at Roku you’ll have multiple paths to choose from. Teams you’ll have an opportunity to work with range from devices and CoreOS, content, and advertising. No matter the team, you’ll be responsible for directly developing innovative solutions and high-quality products that touch millions of people every day. 

We’re excited if you have/are: 

  • Currently pursuing a Ph.D. or Masters Degree in Machine Learning, Operations Research, Applied Math, Data Science or a similar field. 
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills. 
  • Excellent understanding of algorithms and data structures for optimization. 
  • Experience with UNIX/Linux environments. 
  • Experience with analysis tools such as SQL, Spark, R, Matlab or similar.
  • Experience with TB or PB size datasets preferred. 
  • Have knowledge of markets, auctions, and/or advertising; and/or experience with graph algorithms.
