Job Description

LTK is experiencing explosive growth with exciting innovation in our roadmaps – driven by data and technology. The Vice President of Data Science and Data Engineering will play a critical component in LTK’s mission and will report directly to the CTO of LTK. This person will manage a team of high caliber data scientists and software engineers. This role combines subject-matter expertise in data science and software engineering. The ideal candidate must be willing to lead critical projects while managing a diverse group of stakeholders and multiple priorities. The VP of Data Science and Data Engineering will drive both tactical and strategic initiatives in AI and analytics at a corporate level.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Leadership, management and growth of multiple data departments within the organization such as data science, data engineering, analytics and data governance.
• Be an active and strategic voice driving our data vision
• Blend creativity, relentless problem-solving, business acumen, and leadership to drive innovation across the data organization
• Design, build and drive overall strategy, and roadmap for the processes, systems, tools and capabilities required to produce and maintain our core data assets
• Translating the needs of the business into clear roadmaps and execution plans
• Identify ways to leverage emerging and disruptive capabilities including machine learning, natural language processing, deep learning, and big data
• Lead and facilitate leadership and business communications to demonstrate the value of data and analytics as a disruptive game changer in our industry
• Keep up with industry trends and drive high performing teams

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• 15+ years data science, data engineering and/or business analytics
• Excellent track record of people leadership and cultivating talent
• Enjoys working on complex and exciting problems, with high-velocity and multi-dimensional information across multiple sources
• Strong practical experience with NLP, statistical analysis, deep learning, event stream processing, neural networks, predictive and sentiment analytics, data engineering and scripting / enterprise grade programming across a variety of environments
• Knowledge of data modeling, data warehousing, and database architecture
• Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
• Strong track record in managing high performing teams
• Demonstrated self-direction and open-mindedness in teaching others and learning new techniques
