Job Description

The Technical Support Manager builds a regional team of technical experts focused on resolving complex and long-running support tickets raised by Databricks customers. You will ensure that the regional team is effectively trained and consistently following established processes to result in resolution of issues and a high degree of customer satisfaction.

The impact you will have:

  • Build a regional team of Technical Solution Engineers in the EMEA region
  • Identify process improvements to exceed regional performance Measurements
  • Establish training plans and expertise within the team
  • Guide regional escalations and establish collaboration to manage and resolve issues.
  • Be an engaged manager and provide technical leadership to the EMEA organization
  • Manage customer escalations and product outages during EMEA business hours
  • Establish quarterly goals and track them to completion to increase team growth and personal development
  • Help improve processes and guidelines to improve operational efficiencies of the team.
  • Oversee and coordinate action items with engineering and escalation teams to achieve resolution of customer issues.
  • Participate in weekend on-call rotations

What we look for:

  • Experience in technical support, field or application engineering experience in big data technologies like Spark, Hadoop, Data Science
  • Experience in a customer-facing role managing technical support resources
  • Experience supporting cloud-based technologies
  • Programming experience in Scala, Java, Python or C++
  • Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills
  • Excellent customer-facing, verbal and written communication skills
  • Work global hours including weekends and holidays as needed
  • B.S in Computer Science or other equivalent technology
