Job Description

You will...

• Build the core framework and middleware for our on-vehicle software platform and help integrate it with our sensors/autonomy modules in simulation and our vehicle fleet.
• Be part of a team of multidisciplinary Engineers and Researchers using an AI-first approach to enable safe self-driving at scale.
• Build reliable and scalable tools and frameworks to support Autonomous Vehicle (AV) development.
• ??Build simulation, orchestration and control software for Autonomous Vehicles.
• Participate and share ideas in technical and architecture discussions, collaborating with Researchers and Engineers.

Qualifications:

• MS/PhD or Bachelors degree with a Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Robotics and/or similar technical field(s) of study.
• Professional experience building high performance production-quality software in a compiled language such as C++ or Rust. 
• Experience with multiple communication and integration frameworks.
• Experience promoting effective testing and observability patterns.
• Experience doing system-level debugging on native Linux and Docker systems.
• Experience working in a team environment on a medium or large codebase.
• Ability to learn new technologies quickly.
• Open-minded and collaborative team player with willingness to help others.
• Passionate about self-driving technologies, solving hard problems, and creating innovative solutions.

Bonus/nice to have:

• Expert-level experience with Docker, Bazel, Rust, Python, Go, Cuda, C++, or similar tools and languages.
• Experience working with a mix of compiled and interpreted languages.
• Experience working on industrial or safety-critical systems.
• Experience working with robotics or production machine learning.
• Experience with simulation or automated system-level integration testing.
• Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment.
• Experience working with internal cross-functional partners/stakeholders when building software frameworks.
