Job Summary

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a Supply Chain Data Scientist located in Tczew, Poland.

Reporting to the Supply Chain Solution Manager, the Supply Chain Data Scientist role involves Creating scalable solutions for business problems using various analytical techniques including visualization, statistical methods, and machine learning/AI.

What a typical day looks like:

• Creating scalable solutions for business problems using various analytical techniques including visualization, statistical methods, and machine learning/AI
• Translating Supply Chain business problems and questions into specific quantitative questions to be answered with available data using robust methodologies. In many cases, the data collection at scale will be part of the task and may involve co-work with the software development team
• Analyzing and extracting relevant information from the big data to help automate and optimize key processes
• Establishing scalable, efficient, automated processes for large-scale data analyses, model development, model validation, and model implementation
• Researching and implementing novel machine learning and statistical approaches
• Making business recommendations (e.g., cost-benefit, forecasting, experiment analysis) with effective presentations of findings to stakeholders through visual displays of quantitative information
• Building scalable prototype analytics solutions
• Working closely with software development/engineering teams to build model implementations and integrate successful models and algorithms in production systems at scale

The experience we’re looking to add to our team:

• Bachelor/Master of Science degree in Data Science/Mathematics/Supply Chain/Operations Research with 3+ years of experience in relevant work.
• Strong knowledge of applied statistical and machine learning methods.
• Working knowledge of R and/or Python (3+ years).
• Experience with SQL and working with relational & non-relational databases (SQL Server, Snowflake, MySQL, MongoDB, etc.)
• Effective written and oral communication skills in English
• Team player ability

Additional advantages will be:

• Work experience in Supply Chain/Manufacturing
• Experience with XML, JSON data formats, working with REST API’s, SVN/Git or other version control tools and techniques
• Be able to present quantitative results in the right context to various target audiences
• Demonstrated capability in building scalable analytical solutions
• Portfolio of data science projects on Github.com, RPubs.com etc.
• Knowledge of data structures and algorithms
• Demonstrated background in programming in C++, Java
