Job Description

Data has become the strategic enabler for digital transformation initiatives undertaken by Singtel. Business units are actively using data and insights to make strategic decisions and drive Go-To-Market use cases. This role will be responsible to lead and enable business units and corporate functions the right use of data thru effective data lifecycle management and efficient use of data thru data engineering and innovation. The role will partner with stakeholders across the organization to understand their business priorities and deliver data use cases across Singtel.

This role will also lead, consult and deliver Singtel data architecture, technology strategy, roadmap and products usage. Provide thought leadership on data democratization and data exchange within Singtel and our business partners. Act as trusted advisors to senior management (MDs, VPs and Directors) on the emerging technologies for data and digital trends that are most relevant to the company's goals and evolving needs.

Job Description:

• Drive strategic data-driven transformation program in Singtel group with partnership with Business Unit’s Data Governance and Group Data Office where we can identify opportunities to drive data to business value
• Drive innovation initiatives using data and analytics
• Develop, define and govern Data & Analytics Strategy, Architecture, Platforms, Roadmaps to support business data strategies and initiatives
• Lead and drive alignment of data architecture and technology stacks across Singtel group
• Transform the organization from project-driven to platform-driven data products
• Responsible to deliver and manage multiple programs and projects comprise of internal IT professionals and IT service providers to ensure that programs / projects are delivered within the agreed scope, budget and schedule
• Develop build and run functions into DataOps practices
• Lead the application support teams in managing, monitoring, and optimizing Data & Analytics Platform to ensure these applications meet the defined SLA
• Solution and implement data encryption and tokenization in data & based on the organization's data classification criteria.
• Manage and govern data access and operations to ensure compliance to regulatory, compliance and information security requirements including Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA), General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Spam Control Act

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, IT, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent. Work At least 18 years of experience in data field, preferably in Telco industry in the following areas:
• Strong technical background and experience in developing data strategy, architecture and technology roadmap
• Leading a data delivery and operations team comprises of data architects, data modeler, solution designers, data engineers and data service ops team of not less than 80 headcounts
• Experience in managing and driving outsourced vendors to delivery and operations objectives
• Experience in managing large scale data warehouse / data lake in both on-prem and cloud with high availability and scalability
• Strong technical knowledge of data integration
• Experience in event streaming with Kafka
• Experience with DevOps tools and environment
