Job Description

The Data Scientist in our Risk Research team contributes to GeoComply success by holding on to best practices with Data Science projects. We expect that the ideal candidate is hands-on, detail-oriented, highly motivated to help create data insights, and has the managerial skills to lead a data science team. Will be a plus, if you have experience working in short, agile, iterative development cycles and have a great passion for working in fast-paced development process environments. You will focus on new Anti-fraud products development. As a result, you will work closely with the Business and Development teams. In addition, you will have the opportunity to influence the development plan directly, research, and develop your ideas for the product.

What You Will Be Doing

• Implement and hold on to Machine Learning initiatives and projects;
• Identify problem zones and possible product improvements;
• Ensuring good personal time management, real-time time-tracking and time budgets are followed (Tempo – JiraJira product ticket generation and assigning all intercompany tasks via JiraLiaise with business & data science teams;
• Develop and maintain all manuals, policies and technical documentation related to the Data Science department;
• Commit to agreed deadlines;
• Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of the company’s technologies, process and team;
• Understand company’s vision, goals and strategy; actively contribute to the achievement of the goals and execution of the company’s strategy;

About You

• At least 2-3 years of work experience with machine learning and data science;
• Education or training in a relevant field;
• Strong Python knowledge and the associated data analytics/machine learning packages (NumPy, pandas, scikit-learn, scipy, etc.);
• Experience with a deep learning framework such as PyTorch or TensorFlow;
• Understanding of databases and network technologies
• Advanced knowledge of statistics;
• Intermediate to advanced proficiency in English (both verbal and written), with the ability to effectively communicate complex information in a simple manner;
• Strong interpersonal skills with ability to communicate and build relationships with internal and external stakeholders;
• Highly organized and detail-oriented;
• Ability to prepare reports and present findings;
• Strong ability to operate independently and make clear and thoughtful decisions;

• Have knowledge of Elasticsearch
• Have knowledge of Deltalake
