Bechtel Corporation is seeking talented and ambitious senior data scientist to join our Big Data and A.I. Center of Excellence (BDAC) team. BDAC designs, develops, and deploys industry-leading data science and big data engineering solutions, using Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML), and big data platforms and technologies, to increase efficiency in the complex work processes, enable and empower data-driven decision making, planning, and execution throughout the lifecycle of projects, and improve outcomes to Bechtel organization and its customers

Job Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with a team of other data scientists, data engineers, and business subject matter experts to solve complex business problems using artificial intelligence and machine learning methods
• Utilize your skills with data science tools, (Python, Azure, Databricks and more) along with many years of Bechtel-captured engineering, procurement, and construction data to find insights that will inform decision-making
• Develop algorithms, build models, and architect practical solutions that will significantly improve the engineering, procurement and construction approaches and lead to shorter schedules and lower costs

Job Qualifications:

• Master’s or PhD degree in Computer Science or an equivalent STEM degree and 6+ years working experience
• In depth experience with a big data cloud platform such as AWS or Azure.
• Strong grasp of programming languages (Python, Scala, or equivalent) and a willingness to learn new ones
• Experience working with and supporting cross-functional teams
• Strong understanding of structuring code for testability
• Professional experience implementing complex ML architectures in popular frameworks such as Tensorflow, Keras, PyTorch, Sci-kit Learn, and CNTK
• Professional experience implementing and maintaining MLOps pipelines in MLflow or AzureML
• Experience with streaming data from IOT devices and sensors and machine learning applications in asset performance management and digital twins is a plus
