Job Description

We develop AI/ML models tailored to the needs of services within LINE, such as LINE Messenger and OpenChat, and provide these services.

• NSFW Content Filtering: Develop a model to filter harmful content within LINE services.
• Object Detection: Develop an object recognition model within the LINE service.
• OCR: Develop a multilingual recognition model based on image information within LINE services.
• In addition to this, we continuously check the needs of the service, define the problems that occur in the service as ML problems, select an appropriate evaluation tool, and solve the problem based on the data.

We are constantly working to improve the user experience through AI technology.

• A large-capacity distributed processing system is used to process information generated by hundreds of millions of LINE users without any problems.
• Create features that can be utilized in AI/ML models based on unstructured data from multiple services.
• We strive for a better user experience by considering the different user/language/cultural characteristics of each country.
• We select the best model for service and user experience based on data by measuring country-specific results through rigorously designed Online/Offline Test.

Responsibilities

Learning/Inference Optimization Techniques

• Development of memory optimization technology for model training
• Development of parallelization technology for model training
• Development of inference model optimization technology

Model Performance Optimization Techniques

• HPO technology development for model performance optimization

Etc

• Development of model exploration and optimization technology using meta-learning 

Qualifications

• Those with more than 3 years of ML development experience
• Those with experience in system development and operation in a Linux environment
• Those who are interested in new skills and challenge themselves without staying at the existing level
• A person who not only does the assigned work, but finds work on his own and leads the way
• Those who have no grounds for disqualification for overseas business trips and work
