Job Description

• Build and deliver meaningful Data Science and AI models, products, solutions enabling functions across the insurance value chain such as Underwriting, Pricing, Claims, Distribution, Operations, etc.
• Build, validate, test and deploy data science and ML models to address specific business problems with appropriate success criteria defined, tracked and reported
• Manage the end-end lifecycle of data science and AI models working in partnership with Data Science platform, Global Technology and other relevant teams
• Build Data Science, AI and ML capability to ensure appropriate reuse of relevant assets across the business and potentially with the wider Group
• Partner with key areas within Global Technology, Pricing & Underwriting, Transformation & Change Delivery, Group and other teams for Projects and for Business as Usual
• Instill a customer-first attitude on the team, prioritizing service for our business stakeholders above all else
• In this role, you will report to the Division Lead, Data Science Excellence.

We’re looking for someone who has these abilities and skills:

• Proficiency in end-to-end model development, validation and model implementation for both GLM models and machine learning models. Modeling experience in commercial insurance is a plus.
• Significant programming experience in both SQL and Python. Experience with R, H2O, Spark, Microsoft Azure Ecosystem, Databricks is a plus.
• Text Analytics, Natural Language Processing, Deep Learning experience is preferred.
• Data scientist with good business acumen and commercial awareness
• Ability to communicate well with leadership team, peers, teams across the globe
• Brings in a collaborative spirit, can-do attitude and a Customer First mindset
• Requires a combination of solid execution, strategic thinking and ability to ‘connect the dots’
• Expected to recommend innovation and improvement to policies, procedures, deploying resources and performing core activities
• A minimum of a bachelor or master’s degree in a relevant discipline
• 3+ years of experience in a Data Science, AI or related roles (Actuarial, Statistics, Analytics, Engineering), or strong candidates with MS. or Ph.D degree
• Passion for digital, data and AI and experience working within a digital and data driven organization
