Our esteemed RWS Technology group is looking for an enthusiastic, innovative and passionate- about-intelligent-analytics-solutions Product Owner to join the team and help drive and shape our product portfolio, working collaboratively with product managers, cross-functional IQVIA teams and clients. This involves advancing the current ML-led solutions and increasing client adoption of the offerings with a primary focus to the German Market.

The role

The exceptional candidate will work directly with the IQVIA RWS Product Management team owning a portfolio of products and shaping its success in a partnership with a dedicated software engineering team.

The role will require effective engagement with technical teams, proactive contribution to the product strategy including Go-to-Market (GTM) plans and hands-on work to elevate product credibility internally and externally. To be successful in this role, it may help to have experience in working with Machine Learning/Advance Analytics and data teams as well as developing or commercializing analytics applications in healthcare and life-science.

A typical day might include:

• Product Strategy:contribute to vision and roadmap of the product by working closely with the Product Management team around product landscaping, ideation, product design and communication
• Requirement Gathering:arrange meetings with clients and internal stakeholders, understand requirements and coordinate with Product Managers scope and priorities
• Requirement Analysis:analyse requirements and map technical dependencies
• Requirement Documentation:create and maintain product backlog
• Product QA:provide acceptance criteria for product requirements, working with both the developers and QA team to ensure the requirements are fully met and validated 
• Team:own the responsibility of being the go-to-person for all product backlog and implementation.
• Supporting Scrum:support the scrum processes including running the sprint planning meetings
• Demos:carry out internal and external demonstrations
• Pre-sales:creating content for training manuals, client project proposals, product marketing materials and other client collateral / deliverables
• Training:training internal and external users on products
• Analytics: extracting insights from product deliverables for business development purposes and client project deliverables.
• Operations:support the day-to-day operations of the project and providing status updates to management when requested

Our ideal candidate:

• Technical Skills:understands the main technical components and processes behind a digital product. Ease of communicating with technical team members and brainstorm solutions to technical problems. Familiar with the software development process. (Prior engineering education / experience is a plus)
• Business Skills:understands client’s business and challenges, the competitive landscape and IQVIA’s product strategy and its unique selling points. (Prior experience working with marketing / sales / consultancy / strategy teams is a plus)
• Analytical / Critical Thinking:a methodical and structured thinker, and precise communicator
• Data Analysis: experience and comfort dealing with RWD data, and experience with analytic tools (Excel, Tableau etc.) to extract business insights from data. (Knowledge of SQL is a plus)
• Innovation focus:passion for developing cutting-edge analytics products. Familiar with tech trends
• Methodical, systematic, process-oriented:ability to perform day-to-day project management to high standards
• Detail-Oriented:a high level of attention to detail and focus on high quality deliverables
• Nice-to-work-withhas a friendly and positive attitude
• Healthcare / Clinical Experience (Optional):already familiar or eager to learn the Pharma and Healthcare industry dynamics. (Prior clinical experience and/or heath data experience is a plus)

Our ideal candidate: Tech Skills

• Robust knowledge of Real-World Data in Pharma, specifically for Germany. Other European markets is an advantage.
• Advanced knowledge of RWD methodologies
• Solid understanding of machine or deep learning methods, or other novel data analysis methods
• Experience in data analytic products/visualisation
• Experience working within an agile environment

• Good grasp of classical statistical methods, such as fitting regression models, inference testing and sampling
