Job Description

  • Undergraduate or graduate degree in mathematics, statistics, engineering, computer science, economics, business, survey methodology or fields that employ rigorous data analysis.
  • 5+ years of experience working on methodological design and/or sample design/weighting for complex multi-mode survey designs 
  • Proficiency with Python, R 
  • Proficiency with statistical tests and procedures such as Regression, ANOVA, Chi-squared, Correlation,, and Student t-test
  • Experience with survey design, including data collection processes (e.g. questionnaire design, sampling, data preparation and processing, and performance calculations). 
  • Knowledge of survey sampling methodologies
  • Strong verbal, presentation, and written skills.
  • Ability to present to a wide range of audiences with varying levels of technical proficiency is critical.
  • Strong critical thinking and creative problem solving skills
  • Strong planning and organizational skills
  • Expertise in querying large datasets with SQL and of working with Oracle, Netezza, Data Warehouse and Data Lake data structures
  • Proficiency in MS Office suite (Excel, Access, PowerPoint and Word) and/or Google Office Apps (Sheets, Docs, Slides, Gmail)
  • Expertise with Tableau, Spotfire, or other data visualization software and techniques
  • Experience utilizing Docker and/or Kubernetes
  • Proficiency with Databricks

Job Responsibilities

  • Lead experimental and analytic studies on survey measurement of radio and audio entertainment listening among the general public 
  • Design, implement and analyze experimental research tests of existing and alternative survey methods. 
  • Assess costs, risks and benefits of these projects, as well as their system impact if implemented.
  • Prepare detailed project plans, written reports and statistical analyses describing findings from methodological survey research tests and secondary analyses. 
  • This includes reports for internal purposes as well as reports for clients and other external uses.
  • Present research findings to wide variety of audiences including internal stakeholders (both technical and non-technical), auditors, accrediting agencies, clients and academic peers.
  • Manage and coordinate project progress on a daily basis to ensure that project timelines and goals are met in an effective and efficient manner.
  • Develop test databases and statistically analyze sample performance and audience estimates.
  • Identify and utilize the appropriate software and statistical applications needed to meet the needs of the project.
  • Provide expertise in the area of sample design, sample stratification techniques and post-survey weighting adjustments.
  • Participate in cross-functional project teams.
  • Performing leadership role in project management and defining research requirements. 
  • Provide mentorship and training to more junior team members
  • Position requires availability for occasional travel as needed.
