Marketing Analytics is a part of Humana’s Marketing Organization, supporting marketing initiatives with actionable data and insights across the full consumer lifecycle. We champion a holistic marketing measurement strategy to ensure campaign results are measured with a consistent approach throughout all touchpoints of the consumer funnel. We are seeking a talented data professional to join our team as a Lead Data Scientist.

Responsibilities

The Lead Data Science is responsible for strategy, execution, and adoption of data-driven solutions to support and optimize marketing decisions for the Home Solutions or Primary Care respective marketing teams. The Lead will be a highly visible and impactful position. This role oversees analytics team efforts to provide data science and analytical solutions with the objective of optimizing performance across digital and non-digital channels. This position requires an in depth understanding of performance marketing analytics. The ideal candidate will have advanced experience with many of these areas, setting marketing objectives, marketing measurement, experimental design, attribution, optimization of targeting and creative within and across marketing channels, setting requirements for marketing data, and personalized marketing.

Key responsibilities:

  • Strategic Consulting/Partnership: Partner with marketing teams to identify and size marketing opportunities, identify dependencies (i.e., data, timing, regulatory, media, etc.) and make recommendations for marketing approaches to support business goals.
  • Test Design and Analysis: responsible for valid test design, appropriate sample sizing and setup to ensure results are statistically significant and insights are generated. Responsible for advocating and building the discipline for continual testing, measurement, and iteration.
  • Campaign analysis and reporting: Responsible for post-campaign analysis, including media performance (both actuals and to goal), consumer/audience performance and trends, consumer profiles, patient appointment analysis and trends, omni-channel analysis (online to offline, offline to online, optimal pathway, etc.). Responsible for providing requirements to BI team to build reports into production environment. Responsible for providing recommendations for future testing and roll-out opportunities.   • Advanced Analytics: Responsible for defining and executing on the marketing analytics roadmap. Responsible for identifying the opportunity for advanced analytics (i.e., predictive models for targeting, segmentation solutions, cross-sell models, call routing models, etc.) and working with analytics partners to develop the solution, ensuring models are stable, actionable, valid and risk compliant.
  • Agency Partnership: partner with creative/media agencies to share data & insights and collaborate on test design & recommended media mix to support effective execution and optimization of marketing initiatives.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in an analytical discipline such as statistics, mathematics, engineering, or related field
  • Advanced experience in multiple marketing strategies such as marketing measurement, attribution, forecasting, experimental test design and media mix model development.
  • 8+ years of analytics in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience in managing change by leading and energizing others, modeling adaptability, and inspiring strong organizational performance through periods of transformation, ambiguity, and complexity
  • Current or recent experience in a large, highly matrixed company
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills, including the polish, poise, and executive presence that will ensure effective interaction with senior and executive level audiences
  • Highly collaborative mindset and excellent relationship-building skills, including the ability to engage many diverse stakeholders and SMEs and win their co-ownership in the outcome

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree
  • Prior health insurance industry experience

Additional Information

Vaccine Policy:

Humana and its subsidiaries require vaccinated associates who work outside of their home to submit proof of vaccination, including COVID-19 boosters. Associates who remain unvaccinated must either undergo weekly negative COVID testing OR wear a mask at all times while in a Humana facility or while working in the field. Every associate and contractor who work inside a Humana facility or in the field, regardless of vaccination status, must complete a daily health-screening questionnaire.

Work-At-Home Requirements:

  • WAH requirements: Must have the ability to provide a high-speed DSL or cable modem for a home office. Associates or contractors who live and work from home in the state of California will be provided payment for their internet expense.
  • A minimum standard speed for optimal performance of 25×10 (25mpbs download x 10mpbs upload) is required.
  • Satellite and Wireless Internet service is NOT allowed for this role.
  • A dedicated space lacking ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA information
