IT & Broadcast Lead, 6-12 Months Fix Term Contract
Only Candidates based out of America will be considered for this role.

Summary:

The IT & Broadcast Lead is responsible for the availability, operational stability, efficiency, and security of the AJMN Broadcast and IT infrastructure across America.

In addition to managing the Broadcast Infrastructure, LAN network, IT systems and corporate services support they will ensure that department will meet or exceed key performance targets.

IT & Broadcast Lead will lead process optimization and the implementation of system-wide changes safely and reliably. They will maintain industry best practice for Technology Operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure that the AJMNs LANs, Systems, Broadcast Systems, Corporate Applications and Datacenter's meet the needs of Al Jazeera and are maintained according to world-class standards and efficiency.
• Manages the operations of an Infrastructure platforms, including server, storage, databases, middleware, and network, as well as applications and systems which directly support the end-user environment.
• Manage the identification, resolution, and root cause analysis of Enterprise Infrastructure/Network issues. Manage the measurement and reporting for services availability, performance and volume.
• Make network and systems infrastructure compliant in all activities with organizational, security, architectural and other IT policies and standards.
• Ensure availability and efficiency of systems, network, and broadcast services and make sure that service level agreements (SLAs) are maintained.
• Ensure the adoption of effective policies, procedures, tools, techniques and plans relating to systems service level management activities.
• Ensure compliance with organizational, IT, security and architecture policies and standards.
• Oversees the research of new technologies and solutions to empower journalists and other business units.

The Person we are looking for will have:

• Bachelor or higher Degree in IT, Broadcast or equivalent filed
• Total 12+ years in Broadcast and Information Technology domain in a News/Sports/Entertainment channel
• With at-least 6+ years in a team lead role

You will have:

• Excellent Knowledge of Broadcast industry standards & Engineering workflows
• NAS/SAN solutions Experience
• Knowledge of OS Systems and Microsoft Technologies, Hyper-V and VMware virtualization
• Strong understanding of network infrastructure and network hardware.
• Knowledge of TCP/IP/VOIP protocol suites, application transport and network infrastructure protocols.
• Understanding on specific detailed information for hardware and software selection.
• Broadcast scheduling / resource management solutions
• Network security experience (Desirable)
