Job Description
You will take part in business projects with an Analytics component and will work in close collaboration with the Analytics Manager, the Data Quality Analyst and the various business lines concerned.
These projects may be initiated by our team, a management of BNP PARIBAS CARDIF France or a transformation program and may have various purposes: improving a customer experience, optimizing the distribution of a product at a partner, prevent the risk of fraud, automate recurring tasks, etc.
How does an Analytics project work within BNP PARIBAS CARDIF France?
- You will start by defining the objective through your discussions with the business and will give your opinion on the need and the solution. Then, you will retrieve the data and identify those that are relevant and thus, you will confirm the feasibility of putting an algorithm into production. You will clean and organize the data and perform the descriptive statistics, prior to any modeling.
- You will choose the model(s) to test, optimize the hyper-parameters and compare the results based on the appropriate metric.
- Finally, you will popularize and present the results to the profession and make your recommendations.
- On the deployment phase, you will optimize your Python code in order to put your model into production.
- Finally, you will provide monitoring and maintenance by monitoring the stability of the model over time and make the necessary changes.
- The duo that you will form with the Analytics Manager and your regular exchanges with the profession will be guarantees of success for each project.
- You will process internal, external, structured or unstructured data and you will have the opportunity to implement traditional (appetence score, customer segmentation, etc.) and innovative (Random Forest, XGBoost, NLP, etc.) analytical techniques.
- Apart from the projects, other more specific tasks will enhance your daily life, allowing you to work with different collaborators and to increase your skills on other issues and/or databases.
THE MISSIONS ARE IMPORTANT, THE TEAM AND THE ENVIRONMENT TOO!
- BNP Paribas CARDIF France is organized around Business Units (in charge of business development with our partners) and Departments (with a cross-functional role with all BUs).
- Within the Actuarial & Data Science department, you will join the Analytics France department, made up of 9 Data Scientists, 6 Analytics Manager, 1 Data Quality Analyst and 1 Web Analyst. This department aims to develop the operational uses of data science by deploying algorithms throughout the company thanks to DOMINO, our data science platform.
- The station is located at the headquarters of BNP Paribas Cardif, in Nanterre, accessible in 15 minutes by shuttle from La Défense or by RER A (Rueil-Malmaison station).
- Occasional trips to Ile de France are to be expected.
AND AFTER ?
The various projects in which you will take part will allow you to deepen your data scientist skills in data processing, Python, machine learning, modelling, analytics governance, etc.
You will also develop your network: through your central role in a Analytics project, you will be in regular contact with various contacts from other BUs or departments.
In addition, the diversity of the topics covered will accelerate your knowledge of CARDIF and its ecosystem (BNP Paribas group, partners, service providers, etc.) as well as your knowledge of the insurance sector (competitors, types of product, etc.).
Finally, as the BNP PARIBAS Group is committed to facilitating internal mobility, you will have the opportunity to progress to other positions within CARDIF or in another Group entity in France or abroad.
