S&P Dow Jones Indices is seeking a Associate Director, Data Science to be a key player in the IT application development team to lead data science initiatives for index creation and management. The candidate will develop solutions to process alternative data from structured and unstructured sources, generate meaningful data analytics for conducting predictive modelling. The candidate will be part of an IT team responsible for driving innovation in Thematics and Factors index methodologies and working closely with R&D teams. The candidate will be involved in innovative index development concepts such as industry classification, sentiment analysis and index rebalance algorithms.
This role requires a seasoned engineer who works effectively, both independently as well as collaboratively, in a team environment. The candidate must be a delivery-focused person with either experience in or knowledge of the finance industry.
