SAIC is seeking a Sr. Systems Architect to support the Policy and Capabilities, Science Technology Group within ODNI. This position will provide and work with strategy alignment at various organizational levels, identifying opportunities for transformation, effectiveness, and efficiencies, closing gaps, and shifting the direction to advance the efforts toward the vision and strategic intent of the Program Office

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as subject matter expert and thought leader in technical areas, specializing in Cloud, Enterprise Architecture and associated platforms and tools
  • Perform complex systems architecture and engineering to define, architect, design, engineer, and implement enterprise-wide IT systems and solutions across the technology stack
  • Develop design concepts consistent with Enterprise Architecture guidance and industry best practices to address new requirements, changes in the technical environment and/or enhance performance
  • Provide technical expertise in creating, updating, maintaining and visualizing architecture data
  • Serve as technical liaison with regard to system architecture focusing on performance, availability, redundancy, data protection, and information security
  • Collaborate with customers to evaluate mission drivers, identify challenges, define mitigation strategies, assess applications, develop transition plans, and develop business cases in support of Cloud and other initiatives
  • Assess emerging technologies that can be used for transforming today’s infrastructure/processes and Cloud adoption
  • Analyze, convey and lead architectural progress toward goals and objectives, including the organizations AI directive

Qualifications

  • Required:
  • Active TS/SCI with CI Polygraph
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or relevant STEM field
  • Minimum 5 years of professional experience as a Data Architect, Data Engineer or related role developing conceptual, logical, and preliminary physical models for an enterprise.
  • Minimum 14 years of total professional experience in a technical setting
  • Extensive demonstrated experience in enterprise, systems architecture and integration
  • Demonstrated experience applying project management principles
  • Demonstrated experience identifying technology gaps in current capabilities and processes
  • Demonstrated experience designing and implementing successful IT solutions
  • Demonstrated experience facilitating Technical Exchange Meetings
  • Demonstrated experience formulating and communicating complex architecture strategy, plans, and drawings to a variety of technical, management, and policy makers for clear communication and decision support
  • Demonstrated experience with Sponsor’s Enterprise Architecture
  • Demonstrated experience with evaluating products in the Sponsor’s environment
  • Demonstrated experience serving as a liaison in large Sponsor organization
  • Desired:
  • 3-5 years’ experience within an IC Agency, preferably ODNI
