Job Description

As part of the Data Analytics and Reporting team, you will contribute to creating one of UBS’s most ambitious and critical technology projects. You will play an important role to understand the data platform needs from other crews, work with architects and peers to design and deploy cutting edge data platform components in the cloud.

We’re looking for DevOps Engineer to join us:

• build and setup new CI/CD tooling and pipelines
• accelerate our cloud adoption journey
• work on ways to automate and improve development and release processes to further simplify cloud adoption
• apply best practices on code, apply best development practices and effectively utilize technologies
• aware of on-going technology trends particularly around data lakes, AI/ML and know how to pragmatically leverage their benefits
• someone who is technically excellent, inquisitive, and continually seeks to grow
• have an automated first mindset

Your team

You will be working as part of the Group Compliance Regulatory Governance Technology agile crew that focuses on Data Analytics and Reporting (GCRG DAR). Our crew is using the latest data platforms to further the group’s data strategy to realize the true potential of data as an asset through utilizing data lakes, data virtualization, for use with advanced analytics, AI/ML. The crew also ensure the data is managed with strategic sourcing and data quality tooling.

The team will be responsible for building the central GCRG data lake, data virtualization, building connectivity for advanced analytics and other consumers built on cloud computing.

Your expertise

• working experience in Cloud Environment and applying distributed system architecture. Microsoft Azure/ AZ-900, AZ-400 certification is a plus
• programming background required - hands-on experience with at least one programming language (Java, Python, C#) with fluency in UNIX command line and other scripting (i.e. powershell)
• good experience on continuous integration and deployment pipelines experience working with ARM templates, Terraform, Ansible, Azure DevOps and working with large and complex code bases (Github, Gitflow, Fork/Pull Model) to deliver containerize solutions (Docker, Kubernetes)
• experience working with data lakes, configuring storage accounts and cluster pools along with their access control layer (Databricks on Azure is plus)
• knowledge about security basics for e.g. OpenID Connect, JWT, TLS, OAUTH2 a plus
• knowledge RESTful web services and microservices/springboot is an added advantage
