Demonstrates extensive abilities and/or a proven record of success in the following areas:

  • Understanding and experience with modern cloud data architectures and engineering for one or more of the following cloud providers - AWS, Azure, GCP;
  • Designing and developing using data modeling techniques (such as file based, normalized or denormalized, star schemas, schema on read, Vault data model, graphs) for mixed workloads, such as OLTP, OLAP, streaming using any formats (structured, semi-structured, unstructured);
  • Architecting and designing data implementation patterns and engineered solutions using native cloud capabilities that span data ingestion & integration (ingress and egress), data storage (raw & cleansed), data prep & processing, master & reference data management, data virtualization & semantic layer, data consumption & visualization;
  • Understanding of cloud data solutions in the context of business applications, cost optimization, client’s strategic needs and future growth goals as it relates to becoming a ‘data driven’ organization;
  • Implementing leading practices in supporting high availability, scalable, process and storage intensive solutions architectures to data integration/migration, analytics and insights, AI and ML requirements;
  • Guiding the creation of detailed documentation related to cloud data architecture;
  • Familiarity of one or more is a big plus -CI/CD, cloud devops, containers (kubernetes/Docker, etc.), Python/PySpark/JavaScript;
  • Implementing cloud data architecture and data integration patterns (AWS Glue, Azure Data Factory, Event Hub, Databricks, etc.), storage and processing (Redshift, Azure Synapse, BigQuery, Snowflake); Infrastructure as code (CloudFormation, Terraform)
  • Implementing enterprise data concepts such as Master Data Management and Enterprise Data Warehouse, experience with MDM standards;
  • Understanding of SQL, report generation using visualization tools such as Tableau/Power BI, programming using Python/Spark;
  • Possessing a certification(s) in one of the following is a big plus - AWS/Azure/GCP data engineering; and,
  • Leading and supporting data architecture team and leads in creation of cloud data migration/integration/warehouse plans, roadmap, success metrics, and assessment of client’s enterprise (on-premise and on-cloud) data systems.

Demonstrates extensive-level abilities with success managing the identification and addressing of client needs:

  • Demonstrating prior Big 4 or proven consulting experience in strategy through execution projects is a plus;
  • Leading and working with large Cloud Data Platform, Cloud Data migration or Enterprise Information Management programs;
  • Working closely with business stakeholders to capture and document business objectives/requirements, ability to translate business and technology objectives to next generation cloud, digital and technology solution architectures;
  • Collaborating with technology teams and architects to define and develop technology solutions;
  • Willing to learn and apply modern, cloud based technology skills, ability to research emerging trends, analyst publications, and adoption of modern technologies in solution architectures;
  • Driving collaboration and teaming approach;
  • Demonstrating critical thinking and problem solving methods and skills; and,
  • Using appropriate facilitation techniques to gain agreement or move others to action.
