About the role:

As a Robotics Engineer at Oishii you will be working on creative and cutting edge solutions to streamline and automate the most demanding indoor farming tasks. You will work closely with our internal team of automation experts as well as technology partners to execute the company's automation roadmap. Some of our current development efforts are in autonomous rover development, microcontroller based systems, industrial robotics, PLC based systems, and sensor network development. Many of the problems we are solving have never been solved before. This gives you the exciting opportunity to work with our Engineering team to shape the trajectory of our systems through innovative design, development, and partnerships.

What you’ll do:

• Develop robotic systems from the ground up
• Work on electrical and mechanical designs
• Leverage existing technologies in industrial automation to create end-to-end solutions
• Integrate PLC or microcontrollers into mechatronic systems
• Prototype and iterate designs to arrive at highly reliable scalable solutions
• Work with manufacturers to produce product at scale
• Work with sensors, actuators, and other electro-mechanical systems

Who you are:

• You have a Bachelor or higher degree in Mechatronics, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, Industrial Automation, or similar
• You are proficient at designing end-to-end robotic systems
• You have worked on both the electrical and hardware aspects of robotic systems
• You are creative and like a challenge
• You are results driven and a team player
