Job Description

  • Investigate innovative machine learning, artificial intelligence, and statistical techniques to work on complex multi-modal sensor data
  • Design and implement machine learning algorithms and deploy the solutions into production
  • Develop and use modern software engineering techniques to develop machine learning related software
  • Maintain knowledge of latest advances of AI capabilities in industry and academia by committing to continuous learning
  • Ability to clearly explain machine learning solutions to technical audience
  • Collaborate with border security domain experts and other machine learning engineers to solve the nations critical challenges
  • Engage with stakeholders to analyze operational requirements, address key technical challenges, and apply sound AI/ML technology solutions
  • Help identify additional project opportunities to expand the technical work portfolio
  • Support rapid lab prototyping, field testing, technical benchmarking, and modeling and simulation related to AI/ML applications

Basic Qualifications:

  • Typically requires a minimum of 5 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 3 years and a Master’s degree; or a PhD with relevant experience who can immediately contribute at this job step; or equivalent combination of related education and work experience.
  • Applicants selected for this position will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information or applications who are eligible for security clearances.

Required Qualifications :

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Artificial Intelligence or related technical field
  • 2+ years of related experience; or an advanced degree with relevant experience who can immediately contribute at this job step; or equivalent combination of related education and work experience.
  • Experience developing data pre-processing pipelines, constructing customized Deep learning models and deploying the models in production environment
  • Experience with one or more of deep learning development frameworks such as Tensorflow, PyTorch or Keras
  • Experience in deep technical skills in one or more of the Deep learning domains such as Object detection, Image Segmentation, facial recognition, Anomaly Detection.
  • Able to lead/contribute to engineering trade studies, proof-of-concept activities, performance analyses, architecture design and evaluation activities and similar efforts
  • Self-motivated, creative, collaborative and mission focused
  • Ability to work both independently and with a team
  • A keen interest in learning state of the art in the field and rapidly responding to new problems across a variety of domains
  • Customer engagement skills, excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
  • Passionate about staying up-to-date with emerging technologies through continued learning, active engagement with academia and industry, and a desire to remain hands-on.
