Growth Marketing Analyst

  • Work with the CRM team to identify new opportunities to acquire Newsletter subscribers, improve audience engagement and monetization.
  • Work with Product marketing, CRM, and Media teams to develop quarterly marketing campaign strategy and KPI goals
  • Implement KPI tracking for all consumer growth marketing campaigns; defining campaign needs and requirements for Marketing Technology team
  • QA output developed by the product engineering team and validate campaign instrumentation set up prior than campaign launches
  • Create and maintain reports and dashboards to measure end-to-end campaign effectiveness across all channels (Media, Social, SEM, CRM, In-Product, etc.)
  • Make recommendations to improve marketing performance based on the campaign results
  • Collaborate with Data Science, Product, CRM and Media teams to come up with testing opportunities to improve campaign performance and retention/engagement metrics
  • Collaborate with Data Science and Product Analysts to conduct post campaign analysis to gain insight into user experiences and behavior, and present actionable insights and recommendations

Your Day

  • Define, develop and deliver marketing measurement approaches for cross-channel digital marketing analytics and reporting. This will include the measurement of end-to-end campaign effectiveness across channels.
  • Deliver the analytics and reporting to the cross-channel marketing team with the insight they need for campaign optimizations, KPI and ROI. Use data to proactively identify opportunities and create recommendations to improve marketing performance.
  • Provide ad hoc analyses to gain insight into user experiences and behavior and present actionable insights and recommendations.
  • Perform deep dive analysis on website activity and other Yahoo data to detect opportunities and insights that drive support and learning strategies.
  • Determine proper campaign methodology and keep a pulse of the latest measurement approaches to measure efficacy of spend across all marketing channels.
  • Build and effectively communicate data stories to executives and key stakeholders via presentations, written summaries, and data visualizations.
  • Collaborate with Data Science, Product and Media teams to come up with testing opportunities to improve campaign performance and retention/engagement
  • Assist in developing marketing campaign strategies for driving new customer acquisition and existing customer growth across brands, utilizing onsite and offsite channels.
  • Evaluate post-campaign results and communicate actionable learnings and insights.
  • Analyze user needs and identify/prioritize the problems, pain points, and pleasure points (via analytics, behaviors, clicks/conversions, funnels, etc.)
  • Create dashboards and reports that provide analysis and commentary, explaining product, marketing, and business trends for executive reporting
  • Define data testing plans and create methodologies that help teams to iterate fast and release new features for testing and, if successful, rollout to all users globally
  • Help teams understand/internalize consumer insights, choices, and preferences – and how these influence the product/testing roadmap to drive growth
  • Build strong partnerships with product, design, engineering, and marketing teams and enable them to launch new Growth initiatives for testing/iteration
  • Frame business problems into questions that can be answered through data analysis, and translate business needs into requirements
  • Design and lead time-sensitive strategic research projects involving methodology development, analysis, strategic recommendations and presentation of findings to Senior Management

You Must Have

  • Bachelor's degree and experience in digital marketing analytics.
  • Strong analytical skills and quantitative mindset with understanding of basic statistics. 
  • Proven track record and enthusiasm for complex problem solving and analysis, including working with large data sets (log level data) and great Excel skills.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to craft and present data driven analyses and insights to articulate performance and opportunities to key stakeholders.
  • Experience working with all digital marketing channels, including: programmatic, real time bidding, paid social, mobile marketing, and email; with emphasis on experimental testing.
  • Strong understanding of underlying advertising technology (ad serving, DMP, MTA, RTB bidding, etc) and advertising landscape (mobile limitations, mechanics of attribution, etc).
  • Ability to think customer first and drive positive experiences for the Yahoo audiences through marketing programs.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and familiarity with database systems (Oracle, SQL Server, etc).
  • SQL experience required.
  • Prior work experience with Adobe Target, Adobe Experience Platform is a plus.
  • Significant experience, proficiency in, and passion for mobile and web products.
  • Track record of proactively establishing and following through on commitments.
  • Demonstrated use of analytics, metrics, and benchmarking to drive decisions.
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, creative, and problem-solving skills.
  • Team player in driving growth results combined with a positive attitude and high emotional intelligence.
