Job Summary & Responsibilities

As the Research Scientist you will be part of an R&D team exploring and developing novel optical metrology concepts. Duties will include

• Deep understanding of computational electromagnetics.
• Optical modeling
• Designing and developing complex algorithms in Matlab, C++, Python, or other languages.
• Undertake complete ownership of R&D projects related to electromagnetic simulation algorithms.
• Work collaboratively within a cross functional team to incorporate new algorithms into our products.

On occasion, you will also work with teams from Engineering and Applications, particularly during a technology transition from R&D to product development. You may interface with marketing & applications to define the system performance goals and software engineering to define sub-system requirements.

Qualifications

• The ideal candidate will be a creative problem solver with strong technical capabilities as well as a pragmatic, results-oriented focus.
• Applicant will have a post-graduate degree in optical engineering, physics, EE or other relevant discipline. Ph.D. is preferred.
• Must be comfortable working with team members covering a wide range of engineering and scientific disciplines.
