Analytics Manager

Lead and coordinate a team of data analysts to implement analytical solutions in demanding and fast paced commercial environment. With an intuitive grasp of data and analytics, you will be passionate about driving innovative analytical thinking and will be excited about the benefits a data driven approach can bring.

Operating as an analytical leader, you will be able to understand and convert the business challenges and opportunities into the required data and analytical solutions. Utilising your advanced technical and analytical knowledge you will lead and support a team of data analyst in achieving the Data teams’ objectives and strategy.

Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities

  • Manage, empower, and support team members, provide guidance, development and delegate responsibilities whilst encouraging progression and retention.
  • Champion a culture of analytical curiosity through the development of innovative data driven solutions to business questions.
  • Work closely with business partners to fully understand requirements and provide collaborative solutions based on a commercial and analytical understanding.
  • Define and implement an Agile way of working, enabling the team to deliver against a strategic roadmap in-line with our wider objectives
  • Effectively prioritise analytical requirements so to achieve optimal benefit for our business partners and the wider organisation.
  • Act as a data and analytical consultant to help find opportunity, drive understanding and data solutions across the business.
  • Provide analytical expertise and guidance to support in the delivery of advanced data driven solutions.
  • Support the Head of Analytics in delivering the teams objectives and strategy and help shape the future direction.
  • Successfully manage and deliver end to end analytical and development projects.
  • Work cross-functionally and support the data analysts to create a thriving analytics environment where knowledge and ideas are shared.
  • Development enhanced user applications and systems that provide automatic solutions to manual processes.
  • Deliver and present analytical findings and recommendations to key partners and leadership, ensuring that key findings are understood.
  • Liaise with the wider Data Team to ensure we have the right data and solutions available to deliver our analytical priorities.
  • Encourage and lead in the understanding and learning of advanced system features and methodologies of currently adopted analytical tools. Upskilling the team in broad principals whilst improving abilities in specific subject matter expert areas.
  • Keep updated with new technologies and industry developments relating to analytics and data technology.
  • Champion an agile way of working, promoting a ‘test and learn’ approach and culture.

  • Experience in problem analysis, intellectually curious and able to generate ideas to tackle business problems

  • Exceptional problem solving, analytical and numerical skills are essential.
  • Expert understanding of analytical solutions and standard methodologies related to building, testing, deploying, and supporting analytical solution.
  • The ability to initiate and build strong relationships and demonstrate experience of influencing business partners at all levels.
  • Experience in a variety of reporting and data visualisation techniques.
  • Advanced knowledge of data management, storage, systems, and techniques.
  • Advanced knowledge and the uses of data-orientated and programming languages (SQL), data manipulation and visualisation tools.
