About the Role:

Planet is looking for a Senior Product analyst. This role reports to the Head of Analytics and provides quantitative insights to support Planet’s product and technology teams (and beyond). Data science at Planet is not just about making it easy to understand what’s already happening; it’s about strategically understanding opportunities and influencing our roadmap through quantitative analysis of our products, customers, and market.

Impact You’ll Own:

  • Be the champion for the customer, from identifying their challenges and opportunities in data, to highlighting potential solutions.
  • Collaborate with your team and cross-functional teams across product, engineering, design, and more to understand and optimize Planet’s suite of products
  • Catalyze innovation by identifying and analyzing opportunities for new products and strategies

What You Bring:

  • Advanced skills in data science supporting commercial or government software products
  • Strong expertise in modeling, analysis, and/or hypothesis testing using statistical techniques and data visualization
  • Experience with SQL, scripting languages like Python, and business intelligence systems
  • A passion for Planet’s mission to use space to help life on Earth
