What You'll Do

Epic Games is looking for an Analytics Director to join our growing team. In this role, you'll directly contribute to the growth of our products by helping us better understand the experiences of our players and the fulfillment of our designer’s vision. The primary objectives of this position is providing support to our gameplay designers to help them create new experiences and continue evolving Fortnite and leveling up our gameplay analytics team.

In this role, you will

  • Work with gameplay leaders to prioritize analyses and proactively provide insights for our gameplay team. These include gameplay balance, feature effectiveness, and matchmaking.
  • Working with the business teams to define hypothesis/questions that we want to validate/answer and leading the effort to validate and answer those hypothesis/questions
  • Managing the priorities and growth of a team of analysts
  • Taking accountability for the quality of data

What we’re looking for

  • 7-10+ years professional experience as an analyst
  • Deep understanding of the games industry and game design
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Skilled in Hive and Python
  • Experience managing a team of analysts
  • Experience creating ETL processes for converting raw data into data useful for analytics
  • Passion for technology, video games, and analytics
  • You’re user-focused, passionate, scrappy, solutions-focused, and innovative. These traits equal success at Epic and influence everything we do.
  • Nice to have: Experience in C++ and Unreal Engine
