Job Description

As an experienced member of our Software Engineering Group we look first and foremost for people who are passionate around solving business problems through innovation & engineering practices. Working in DevOps means you'll use both creative and critical thinking skills to automate, maintain and enhance CI/CD Jenkins Pipelines for both AWS and Pivotol Cloud Foundary (PCF) that are crucial to the daily operations of the project. You will be required to apply your depth of knowledge and expertise to all aspects of the software development lifecycle, as well as partner continuously with your many stakeholders on a daily basis to stay focused on common goals. This role requires a wide variety of strengths and capabilities, including:

  • Hands-on development and programming experience on any Object-Oriented Programming Language preferably in Python
  • Knowledge of Microservices architecture, design and business processes
  • Knowledge in Distributed application, data and infrastructure architecture disciplines
  • Knowledge of service-orientated architecture and design of cloud-native systems
  • Hands on experience with relational SQL and no-sql database technologies like MongoDB, ElasticSearch
  • Experience with logging and monitoring tools (ElasticSearch, Logstash, Kibana) and performance analysis
  • Interest in data science and data science tooling
  • Any Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles such as Choas Engineering, Observability is a plus
  • Ability to work in large, collaborative teams to achieve organizational goals
  • Passionate about building an innovative culture
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required for the role

Qualification:

  • Bachelor degree in Computer Science with at least 3 years of Application development experience
    Required Skills:
  • 3+ years experience in application development preferably with python
  • Hands on experience of open sources libraries like numpy, scipy, spacy, nltk, keras, tensorflow, pyspark, scikit-learn, pandas, JupyterHub
  • Hands on experience using containers, big data platforms like Spark, EMR and/or cloud infrastructure covering technologies like AWS EC2, AWS Lambda, Kubernetes
  • Exposure to Micro Service architecture, REST API design/development
  • Experience with modern agile software delivery practices such as Scrum/Kanban, Continuous Integration and Delivery (CI/CD) and Automation using Jenkins or equivalent framework
  • Experience with Application Performance monitoring tools like Dynatrace/Grafana/Splunk
  • Good understanding of Security and Data Encryption principles such as OAuth, Kerberos and KMS solutions
