Job Description

Data Strategists at QuantCo will create impact from data by: helping our clients to define and implement a data strategy and build up an effective and successful data organization; identifying the right framework to translate a business question into a statistical problem; working with our data scientists who run in-depth analyses and conceptualize and build machine learning solutions that automate large-scale decisions; integrating them into live business processes; and interpreting, visualizing, and communicating results to internal and external stakeholders.

Data Strategists will be responsible for leading data science projects with our clients, developing an in-depth understanding of state-of-the-art technologies and methods in their daily work with outstanding talents in the field of data science and engineering. Over time, these responsibilities will grow to help our clients make large-scale strategic decisions.

We are looking for team players with:

• An excellent (top 10% or better) degree in statistics, mathematics, computer science, engineering, physics, industrial engineering, (quantitative) economics/business or management or similar fields from a leading university
• At least 4 years of experience managing projects and stakeholders at a tier-1 consulting firm, tech company, financial services institution, or VC/PE firm
• Very strong strategic thinking and the ability to see solutions and opportunities
• Outstanding, hands-on communication and stakeholder management skills (from C-level clients to software engineers and junior data scientists), marked by humbleness, clarity, and commitment
• First-hand experience in coding and working with data
• An understanding of the most common machine learning techniques and statistical models
• A good balance of pragmatism and perfectionism
• Willingness to travel to our clients on a regular basis
• Business proficiency in German and English
