Position Purpose:

Responsible for predictive data analytics using data science technology for healthcare innovation and quality outcomes. Perform analysis using data science techniques on structured and unstructured data sets, and develop algorithms for targeted quality goals.

  •  Determines quality improvement parameters by identifying statistical methods relevant to drive quality strategy and performance.
  • Review and implement new technological tools and processes including defining requirements for dashboard reporting.
  • Analyze health plan performance and ability to achieve quality measure goals.
  • Models plans ability to achieve higher performance based off of historical performance and predictive modeling.
  • Performs root cause analysis and failure mode and effective analysis where areas of opportunity are identified to mitigate future risk, leveraging data science
  • Oversee data analysis in regards to process improvement and measurement of activities
  • Develop mathematical and statistical models to distinguish relevant content or events and recognize patterns.
  • Participate in presentations and communicate results of research analysis and findings
  • Validate and measure the outcomes of health management programs using SAS, R and other tools, to include Quality outcome data ( HEDIS, provider data, claims, survey data)
  • Responsible for development efforts with technical team liaisons, including gathering business requirements, documentation, testing, delivery and user adoption, and communicate expectations to the Health Plan.

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field.
  • 5+ years of quantitative analysis experience in data science capabilities including data mining, predictive modeling, statistical modeling, data transformation, and structured and unstructured data analysis.
  • Experience with statistical analysis programs, visualization and reporting software.
