Job Description
As a senior manager of data science, you’ll lead a team of data scientists, data engineers, and statisticians. With a focus on increasing customer retention in our Customer Experience Advanced Analytics team, you and your team will champion an agenda focused on generating millions of dollars of incremental revenue and cost reduction via automation solutions. Your team will work with large, unstructured data sets to build and deploy machine learning models to create more personalized customer experiences for our more than 20 million customers. Additionally, you and your team will lead our robust experimentation strategies and help advance our data science infrastructure for the enterprise.
Must have qualifications
- Master's degree or higher with quantitative focus in Econometrics, Statistics, Operations Research, Computer Science, or related field (e.g., Mathematics) and a minimum of two years of relevant experience in Statistical/Quantitative Modeling and/or Machine Learning tools (R, Python, etc.) and in using various database tools (e.g., Hadoop, SQL) processing large volumes of structured and unstructured data
- In lieu of the above, Bachelor's degree or higher with quantitative focus in Econometrics, Statistics, Operations Research, Computer Science, or related field (e.g., Mathematics) and three years of relevant experience in Statistical/Quantitative Modeling and/or Machine Learning tools (R, Python, etc.) and in using various database tools (e.g., Hadoop, SQL) processing large volumes of structured and unstructured data
- In lieu of a degree, a minimum of seven years of relevant experience in Statistical/Quantitative Modeling and/or Machine Learning tools (R, Python, etc.) and in using various database tools (e.g., Hadoop, SQL) processing large volumes of structured and unstructured data
- Minimum of two years of leadership/managerial experience
Preferred skills
- Senior-level experience in technical data science, statistical/quantitative modeling, and learning tools skills (R, Python, Hadoop, SQL AWS Cloud, and GitHub)
- Strong business acumen with a thorough understanding of business processes and systems
- Strong leadership and management skills with experience leading, directing, and overseeing the work of others
Compensation
- Salary range: $103,300 - $147,500/year
- Gainshare bonus up to 40% of your eligible earnings based on company performance
- Participation in our restricted stock unit plan
