Job Description

As a hand on developer, you will be working to build robust and scalable self-service data platform for Autodesk. You will work with cutting edge open source technologies in big data space.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop components of end to end Data Platform 
• Work with the team to make the Data Platform an efficient, robust and scalable platform
• Enthusiastic and passionate member of a highly skilled and motivated agile development team 
• Contribute to a team culture that values quality, robustness, and scalability while fostering initiatives and innovation?

Minimum Qualifications

• BS or MS in computer science or a related field
• Experience with Map Reduce
• Experience with Hive and one relational DB
• Strong problem solving skills
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to learn new technical skills
• 4+ years of experience with Big Data
• Expert knowledge and experience in Hadoop 2.0 and its ecosystem
• Expert programming skills in either Java, Scala or Python
• Solid proficiency with Amazon Web Services

Preferred Qualifications?

• Experience with Spark
• Experience with Hadoop / Spark Source Code
• Experience with Python, Scala
• Experience with Flume
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes
• Experience with at least one workflow scheduler (e.g. Oozie)
• Experience with Kafka/Splunk/ELK/Hive Metastore
