Job Description

We are currently looking for a Data Engineer H / F in Lausanne.

Within the International Data BU, your playing field extends to the following areas

• Design platforms to process large volumes of data under the best conditions.
•  Be the first link in the chain, and ensure that the data pipelines deployed are sufficiently secure and clear to be analyzed by Data Analysts and then transformed by Data Scientists.
• Intervene on the different phases of POC and / or BI and Big Data projects, in particular at the level of architecture and data processing.
• Set up the processes of data collection, loading, exploration and verification of data of different types (structured or not), produced by multiple sources and design the most relevant data models by working closely with Data Scientists and Architects.
• Maintain and implement the solutions industrialization processes using DevOps tools.
• Document the work carried out during exchange time (REX, workshops, etc.).

Qualifications

• You are a graduate of an engineering school or a Technical-oriented Master (IS, MIAGE, Statistics, Mathematics, or equivalent) and with at least 5 years of experience in Consulting and Data environment
• As part of various projects, you have participated in the definition of technological solutions to meet the needs of data preparation (cleaning, enrichment, filtering, grouping ...), by mobilizing the following technical skills

Essential skills:.

• Programming languages: Python, Spark (Scala)
• Cloud solutions
• Cloudera
• Devops Tools: Jenkins, Ansible, Git.
• Virtualization: Docker, Kubernetes.
• Database: in-depth knowledge of SQL and RDBMS-type database management tools. Knowledge of other query technologies is a plus.
• Skills appreciated but not essential:
• Use of an ETL and a Dataviz solution.
• Understanding of Data Science methods and tools.
